Individual/Smaller Sites

Luke Smith: I first became aware of Luke Smith via YouTube and his videos on free and open source software, this is a link to his website, where he also talks about philosophy and religion and sells out of print books.
-
LandChad.net: Luke Smith’s online resource for setting up your very own web server. Additional articles are available (some written by the community) about hosting other services.
-
Based Cooking: Yet another website hosted by Luke Smith. A simple website where many different people have contributed recipes to combat bloated cooking sites that take an age to load.
-
Eric Murphy: This is the personal website of Eric Murphy, again I came across him originally on YouTube. His videos have been a massive help in setting up my own desktop environment.
-
OMG!Ubuntu: A website focused on Ubuntu. I don’t use Ubuntu, but sometimes there is some good info on various updates. I typically go there just to see who Guy Clark is currently in a fight with in the comments section! Usually PP, but PP blocked me.
-
Phoronix: Another website about Linux and open source software - a good mix of both software and hardware related news.
-
Privacy Guides: Features a list of applications you can use to try and claw back some privacy.
-
Privacy Tools: Another site providing information about staying private online. Some links are affiliated though.
-
Shimo Guitars: Website of Takahiro Shimo, a creative luthier based out of Japan. He mainly builds guitars and ukuleles as well as a few other types of stringed instrument thrown in for good measure, all of which are insanely beautiful!
-
New Orleans Jambook: A wonderful resource for jazz sheet music.
YouTube
-
Invidious: is an alternative front end to YouTube focused on privacy, that actually makes watching videos pleasant! Instead of a chore, especially on older devices.
-
The Linux Cast: A good mix of content based around Linux and free/open source software. News, reviews, tips and a podcast.
-
The Linux Experiment: Another selection of content about Linux, a little bit more noob friendly. But, boy this guy loves his sponsors.
-
DistroTube: Yet another channel talking about open source software and GNU/Linux.
-
Eric Murphy: Videos focusing more on how to get things done with certain light weight an minimal applications, also about Linux.
-
Luke Smith: Thus guy also has Linux and open source videos, but more often than not will talk about a broad range of topics too.
-
Mental Outlaw: Another channel advocating free and open source software, tends to focus a little more on news these days.
-
Kent’s Tech World: Kent is that one Linux YouTuber (okay, I’m sure there are others) that also uses proprietary software. It’s refreshing to get a different point of view.
-
EF - Linux Made Simple: A great resource if you are attempting to install Arch for the first time. Useful to figure out which packages you may need if you are installing a stand alone window manager for the first time
-
Iwao’s Music Channel: Iwao Yamaguchi is a Japanese artist, he has some amazing videos playing both guitar and ukulele.
-
Helmut Bickel: A music teacher, I believe from Austria, uploads basically everyday. I enjoy the videos when he plays he guitar or ukulele on a holiday - the scenery is stunning.
